Workday Results

Today we had 14 volunteers at our workday. Six of them were young adults and the other eight of us were young at heart. We had four new volunteers and an international friend, Joel, from Tanzania. It was his first time to see our headquarters.

Wheels Hung, bikes organized
foosball game in place

Trike holders put in the wall, wheel blocks made so the three trikes can hang up

Free floor space

Table area cleaned and can now be used

Sale bike room sorted. If you are in need of a bike, we sell some used bikes

Office cleaned

Wouldn't it be nice if the office stayed like this?

16 children's bikes prepared this week. Ready to be delivered to tomorrow through a partnership with Wheaton Evangelical Free Church and Lincoln School

Tire racks designed and built by Kevin, our in house engineer. We got two racks. Each rack will hold about 200 tires. Oh we are sooooooo glad to finally have all our tires sorted

Room to walk between the 2 tire racks to access all sizes of tires

Imagine, our tubes are all sorted too and located in the same area as the tires.

Thanks to all those who helped us paint, sort, clean, sweep, work on bikes, do carpentry work, organize the office and all the other things we did from 9AM-2PM today. Our workday was a huge success.

Workday Tomorrow

Join us tomorrow for a workday at His Wheels Headquarters from 9A-2P. We have jobs for all ages and skills. We are building workbenches, hanging tires, wheels, cleaning bikes, windows and the building and the list goes on. If you can't join us in person, then we would covet your prayers, which is just as important kind of work for us.

Divine Encounter

Today while shopping I saw a woman in a motorized chair who was looking intently at me. I asked, "Could I help you get something off the shelf?" She said, "No, I was looking because I think I know you." It wasn't so. I passed her in another aisle and gave her one of my tracts. She saw the picture of our trike with the young man from Bulgaria, without legs. She said, "No wonder why your face reflects love." Thanks Joyce for giving to me today!

Celebrate!

We began today as a "Faith based ministry" defined by mentor(30 years) and co-founder of Pioneer Girls. "Faith based begins when the economic resources end." We needed $1,700 to cover April's rent to complete our first year in our new building debt free. By 12:00PM we received rent and more. Thanks to all for your prayers, encouragement and help!

I began the day clinging to the cross and listening to a sermon by Denis Lyle on Abraham sacrificing Isaac. He said, "A tried faith is a trusted faith." My prayer is that the same can be said of the ministry of HWI.
